The present Head of House succeeded to the undifferenced Arms in 1982, (Lyon Court).
Confirmed in the dignity & precedence as a European Baron by His Imperial Highness Archduke Vladimir Kirillovich, Head of the Russian Imperial House of Romanov, and also H.I.H. Duke of Swabia (Germany).
Descended through the female line (Grandmother descended from Islay MacDonalds) & traditionally from MacDonalds of Dunyvaig (Dunnyveg or Dunivaig) (seat: Dunyvaig Castle, (Scottish Gaelic: Dun Naomhaig).
