Additionally this Tartan may be worn, after written agreement, for members of the Household and The Family/Clan Society.
The Lairdship consists of the Lands of Denovan near Stirling with the first recorded Laird in 1296.
Lord Denovan also holds the following Lands and Lordships:
Lordship of Ballharn (Caithness); The Lordship of the Manors of Hendrebifa, Trefedwen, Bretton, Cilowen, Penegors, Redynton, Bistre, Rahop, all in Wales; and Chivington (Surrey), Shoelands (Surrey), Hadlow(Cheshire), Little Caldy(Cheshire)
The present Head of House succeeded to the undifferenced Arms in 1982, (Lyon Court).
Confirmed as a European Baron by His Imperial Highness Archduke Vladimir Kirillovich, Head of the Russian Imperial House of Romanov, and also H.I.H. Prince August von Hohenstaufen (Germany).
Descended through the female line from MacDonalds of Dunyveg (seat: Dunyvaig Castle, (Scottish Gaelic: Dun Naomhaig) and traditionally through the male line from Bleddyn ap Cynfyn, Prince of Powys.
